How to Get Started
The Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) conducts training to help your personnel better understand the government procurement process.  Our classes cover a wide range of government contracting topics and are taught by experts with many years of government contracting experience.

If you are interested in taking advantage of GTPAC’s services, you are strongly encouraged to attend GTPAC’s “Introduction to Government Contracting” class.  This class provides a complete orientation to doing business in the government marketplace and provides instruction on all the fundamentals to get started.  Attending this class also qualifies attendees to become registered as GTPAC clients and thereby benefit from our complete range of services, including one-on-one instruction in areas like:

Reading and understanding a bid solicitation
Understanding RFID, UID and packaging standards
Handling post-award contract administration Locating technical information and pricing data
Reviewing and finalizing your bid or proposal Participating in electronic and Internet procurement opportunities
Executing Central Contractor Registration and other registrations Conducting market research, finding opportunities and establishing relationships
Researching federal specifications/standards

Preparing for pre-award surveys

Properly submitting an invoice, including Wide Area Work Flow •    ...and much, much more.

GTPAC has offices conveniently located throughout Georgia. All counselors, locations, phone numbers and e-mail addresses are posted under team directory for easy identification and access by the public.  Be sure to check for the office nearest you.

RFID Assistance Available for DoD Suppliers
Suppliers of commodities and equipment to the U.S. Department of Defense now must comply with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) contract requirements.

Carefully check DoD solicitations and contract terms for these new requirements.  The new RFID requirements have a significant impact on shipping preparation and cost.

GTPAC can help.  See our RFID seminars under the Training tab above.  Or call the closest GTPAC Procurement Counselor listed under the  Team Directory.
