Growth Services – Eureka! Frequently Asked Questions

The first step is discovery. With our Eureka! Winning Ways program we help you discover and develop a plan for growth.

What is Eureka! Winning Ways?
It is a system for discovering and developing measurably smarter choices for top-line growth for small to mid-size manufacturers.

How is Eureka! different from other services like lean and quality?
Eureka! Winning Ways focuses on top-line sales growth rather than operational cost savings. The Eureka! Program answers the questions every business must face:

  • How will our business grow over the next several years?
  • Will our current development pipeline meet future revenue goals?
  • How do I grow with shrinking margins, foreign competition and commodity products?

I have used other consultants for growth or business strategy, what makes your program so different?
We live and work in your community. Your success and growth are how we are measured. We have a service mission to the state of Georgia. As a result, we can call on Georgia Tech’s resources to provide you with the knowledge to make the critical decisions needed to transform new ideas into reality.

Is this process for new product ideas only?
No, growth ideas are developed for potential new markets, new marketing messages, new customers and new products or services. In addition, the process looks at “hot” new focus areas such as international market expansion and the "green" revolution

How long has this program been around?
Doug Hall founded the Eureka Ranch after 25 years with Procter and Gamble as a master marketing inventor. Doug has worked over the last 10 years with major Fortune 500 companies using these same techniques for idea development.

What is the cost?
The two-month program costs $10,000 and can be billed out over several months. This includes the pre-planning analysis, the culture survey, the ideation day for 8 to 15 employees, the idea analysis for the top four ideas and one month of trailblazer development coaching and assistance by certified Eureka Ranch-trained growth coaches.

What’s the track record of projects completed so far?
The results have been amazing. Success stories are posted on the National Institute of Standards and Technology site.
