Amy Bunton is TVA Economic Development’s General Manager for Business and Community Resources. She is responsible for overseeing TVA’s efforts to assist power distributors, communities, and industry in new job creation and capital investment.
Bunton was formerly with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, where she served as chief of staff for the department’s staff of 200 personnel and oversaw an $80 million budget. During her tenure, the department was named Top Economic Development Group by Site Selection magazine for the year 2002.
As entrepreneurs, Bunton and her husband own Franklin Interiors, an Internet-based home furnishings business. They previously operated a furniture manufacturing company in Hickory, N.C. She is also a former consultant for the University of North Carolina and business analyst for the Department of Defense.
Bunton serves on the board of the Tennessee Automotive Manufacturers Association and the advisory council of the Tennessee Manufacturing Extension Program. In 2001, she co-authored the booklet "Tips for Tough Americans in Tough Times." She is an honors graduate with a B.A. in Busi ness from Virginia Wesleyan College and an M.B.A. from Troy State University.
